21.01.2025: Patient Welfare Association (PWA) formally engaged Mr. Emad-ul-Hasan as its Legal Advisor. PWA is one of the largest student-run non-profit organizations in Pakistan.
Mr. Tariq Shafi (Parton/Member Board of PWA) graced the occasion with his presence along with Mr. Haris Mushtaque, Dr. Daniyal Hussain, Mr. Hassan Asif, Mr. Fahad Amir and Ms. Muqqadas Asif.
14.12.2024: Visited District Courts in the elections of Karachi Bar Association (KBA).
KBA is the largest District Bar Association of the country. Due to the limited pecuniary jurisdiction in District Courts in Karachi only, the lawyers of District Courts are deprived of taking high value Civil Suits and related proceedings, hence are being discriminated against as compared to the lawyers of District Courts all over Pakistan.
Made three posters to highlight the illegality and negative impacts of limited pecuniary jurisdiction of District Courts in Karachi. Mr. Baqar Mehdi, candidate for the seat of ‘Joint Secretary’ graciously hung these posters in his camp to create awareness in the lawyers of District Courts about the issue, which is of high public importance.
07.12.2024: Visited Sindh High Court to cast vote in the elections of Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA). A Bar Association is the Association of lawyers of a court like Karachi Bar Association for District/City Courts, Malir Bar Association for Malir District Court etc. to look after the affairs of the particular court with respect to lawyers. SHCBA looks after the matters relating to the advocates/members of Sindh High Court at Karachi.
29.12.2023: The Patients’ Welfare Association (PWA) invited Emad to attend the 42nd Annual General Body Meeting at Civil Hospital, Karachi. PWA recognized and appreciated the legal support provided by Emad to PWA over a decade. The meeting was attended by the students running the organization including the President Ms. Shanzeh Sharif Khan and General Secretary Muqaddas Asif along with Mr. Tariq Shafi – Patron, Dr Syed Sheeraz ur Rehman – Secretary Board of Governors, Mr. Siddiqui Sheikh and Prof Dr Kamran Ahmed Members Board of Governors of PWA.
19.08.2023: As one of the Guests of Honor, Emad shared his thoughts and values with respect to the role of lawyers at the inauguration ceremony of ‘The Lex’ a digital law magazine at Jinnah Auditorium, City Courts, Karachi on 19.08.2023.

01.03.2023: The pecuniary jurisdiction (PJ) of District Courts (DC) all over Pakistan is unlimited i.e. a Civil Suit of any value is filed in the DC, where, after the judgment by Senior Civil Judge (SCJ), 1st appeal is filed before Additional District Judge (ADJ), 2nd appeal before High Court (HC) and then Supreme Court (SC).
While in Karachi it is limited and suits above that limit are filed in Sindh High Court at Karachi (SHC-K) in its Original Civil Jurisdiction before Single Bench (SB) hence man disadvantages to the litigants of Karachi.
Hence Emad challenged the vires of Sindh Amendment in the Civil Court Ordinance, 1962 vide CP.No.D. 1222/2021: Emad-ul-Hasan Vs. Province of Sindh & Ors.
Vide order dated 01.03.2023 High Court of Sindh Karachi disposed of the petition with directions to the Government of Sindh.

29.03.2018: On the invitation of Mr. Abrar Hasan- Advocate; Vice-President of Confederation of Lawyers of Asia and Pacific (COLAP), a delegation of COLAP from Japan comprising of Ms. Aisa KIYOSUE; Associate Professor, Muroran Institute of Technology, Mr. Hajime INOUE; Attorney-At-Law and Mr. Masaru OYA of Right to Peace, visited High Court of Sindh at Karachi on 29.03.2018, met Mr. Saleem Mangrio; President Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA), Mr. Rehan Malik; Secretary, visited Sindh High Court Library and other lawyers.
16.09.2009: In a matrimonial dispute between two naturalized U.S. Citizens of Pakistani origin, the Superior Court of California, County of Orange, U.S.A directed the husband to obtain opinion relating to the distribution of assets in the light of Pakistani laws from a Pakistani lawyer, hence Emad provided the opinion along with the relevant laws and rulings followed by the deposition of Emad through video conferencing over Skype in 2009.
First the Court Staff took the oath, then the husband’s lawyer Mr. John R. Denny carried out Examination-in-Chief of Emad and finally the wife’s lawyer Ms. Barbara E. Mc Namara carried out the cross.
