Work Methodology

Our work-methodology involves the following phases:

  1. Discussion with the clients
  2. Engagement
  3. Case Preparation
  4. Team selection
  5. Representing the client before the Authorities, Judicial Forums or Courts-of-law
  6. Client Communication

Discussion with the clients

In order to understand the facts of the matter, client’s grievances and the desired objectives or reliefs, a matter is thoroughly discussed through:

  1. Telecom; for an initial discussion to identify the basic document required from the client to review.
  2. Zoom or any other video-meeting; for discussion specific to the document.
  3. Physical meeting; when discussion with reference to hard copies and files is required

Engagement

  1. Considering the requirements of the matter (litigation or advisory) appropriate strategy and legal actions are identified i.e. scope of work.
  2. Fee is quoted considering the scope of work, forum, complexity, value and urgency etc. along with the payment terms.
  3. On agreement of the client as to the fee, court-fee, court-expenses and out-of-pocket expenses and the payment terms, bill is raised and payment is made by the client.

Case Preparation

Case preparation involves:

  1. Organizing the client’s documents and drafting the plaints, applications, any other documents
  2. Identifying the relevant laws and rulings to beef-up the draft.
  3. Preparation for hearing/representation.

Team selection

  1. Team comprising of the relevant lawyers having expertise in a certain area is identified and engaged.
  2. One of the team members is the lead-lawyer of a matter to present the matter before the Authorities or Courts-of-law.

Other lawyers support the lead-lawyer in preparing the matter, legal research, notes for hearing etc

Representing the client before the Authorities, Judicial Forums or Courts-of-law

  1. Various documents required to be prepared in a matter are filed with the relevant Authorities, Judicial Forums or Courts-of-law
  2. Visits to the court, judicial forums or the authority to plead the matter with reference to laws and rulings i.e. hearing.

Client Communication

  1. Discussions are generally held over Zoom or phone
  2. However physical meeting is held when a detailed discussion over hard prints, files etc. is required.
  3. The preferred mode of communication for exchanging information is ‘email’
  4. However, short messages can be conveyed through WhatsApp.
  5. A client is informed about any progress or if anything is required from the client.
